I know I've touched on the idea here before, but I was wanting to get some ideas on how tough it would be to turn a pre 1979 PW into a '79-'80 model. So far it appears to me that changing the cowl, hood, and radiator support, would be all I'd need to do. Since I want to do the S&S PW, I wouldn't need a grille or bumpers. The reason I'm asking is that I have found a '77 long bed military PW with absolutely no dents dings or rust cheap. The seats are in pretty bad shape, but the interior is clean, and the dash pad is very nice. The truck currently has no engine, but I'm told the original was a 360. The current owner bought a Cummins diesel for the truck but ran out of money to finish the swap. The Cummins is for sale seperately, but he said if I bought the truck he'd give me a great deal on the engine. I do like the idea of Rick Simon's Power Wagon having a Diesel, but that's a little more work than I was hoping for. That part of it is a little out of my comfort / skill range. Thanks!!
