I love this stripe package on trucks, and I like this truck

Just found this original ad that has the 79 2wd prospector with that stripe on it. This stripe looks to be for the 2wd prospectors only.

I think my dreams have quickly been shattered; the past 4 years haven't been kind on the Prospector local to me... :cry:

It looks to have been converted from 3 on the tree to 4 on the (block of wood) floor. Oddly it does have dual tanks.

Owner of the yard wants above scrap prices for me to buy it (he says $600)...

Those white trucks w/orange stripes are the spittin' image of the 79 D100 dad bought when I was a kid (14 yrs old). Only ours was a long bed and had the 318. Dad taught me to drive a stick shift with that truck. Ours had a 1940's Dodge Ram hood ornament on it, probably added by the dealer we bought the truck from. I thought that was pretty cool.
