Just wondering if any one knows of any good ways to paint the yellow stripe on the macho powerwagon rims. I dont really care for the decal look. Any advise would be awesome. The only way I could think of doing it was to go and buy a yellow paint marker and put the truck up on a lift and clamp the paint marker up beside the rim and spin the tire.

Muscle Car on Spike Cable Channel did a show about that type of pin stripping on a wheel last year on the 409 or Pont they did. If I remember, the wheels where on a loose 2wd front hub. Then spun slowly with one hand while the other hand use a pin stripping brush with paint on it. I think the hand with the brush was steadied by some kind of stationary mount.

That's what I tried.

Actually used a barstool swivel.

Didn't have the right brush or Paint

consistency.

Then I tried putting the tape on

supplied in the phoenix kit.

I'd really like to see someone do that

successfully.

Saw an ad on Craigs

Guy saying he could pinstripe anything.

Turned out OK. 80 bucks for the four.

Truck's on ebay now wheels are shown.

I remember seeing that show on horsepower cause that's how I was gonna re do my wheels. It was a pen looking device with a wheel on the end of it. You loaded the paint in the top of it, u could adjust it with a clamp on the rim, then the paint went down the tube onto the wheel which painted the rim surface. I believe he had the car on a rack and just slowly spun the tire. I believe he said u can pick it up at a car paint supplier, id probably just Google it or check the horsepower tv site. Looked super easy and came out great.

On my previous power wagon I redid the wheels using a motorcycle wheel pinstripe kit. Comes with a really cool tool that hooks to the bead of the wheel and lays the pinstripe down perfectly. Try this link to eBay. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem ... 0802903310
