the last I heard about it, it was for sale, and for 2500. It does have some good info, I think it has a schedule notice. It was sold new at a dealer in Wisconsin, and now is in Illinois IIRC....it is RUSTY though...
I don't have the contact info....but I will see if it can be posted...
truck was also cashmere tan and black...still has the bar, and now is painted another color...also 318 auto with factory a/c...

That's a Fact.

Still fixable, depending on the rust. ??????

At least it still has the bar.

And like Dyno said it's got some nice paperwork.

We found the shortbed in Mo the same Month this

one "popped up". Both Cashmere.

Two in one month after 5 years of searching.

Go Figure.

Man, I've love to have one...or to recreate one at some point. Definitely unique..and for only one model year! What are you going to do about having the stripes and 4x4 logos made for your '81? it would be nice to have Phoenix Graphics make a kit...but with so few left and only being for one model year I doubt it'd be worth their time.

Besides to obvious graphics, roll bar, wheels, and black bumpers what else made an '81 Macho? I see based off of your pics that they had the cashmere interior, the late LRE/Omni steering wheel, and black trim strip on the door panels. The '81 brochure is pretty vague so any insight would be great!

The tailgate in the brochure pic appears to be a standard SE tailgate but painted black with red/orange to match the stripes? Also, I'm assuming the roll bar is the same as what was used on the '70s Machos?

Same as previous Machos as far as the package.

But, like 79-80

buckets were optional.

Stripes will be tough.

Same basic as the Macho, TD RC

Same roll bar.

Just picked up an 81 sales catalogue.

Some scans showing some info on the 81 Macho Sport Package.

Including the official list of available colors.

according to the 3rd image, you could get a macho with a utiline bed? or a 2wd? very interesting. a stepside would me mega-cool.
