I've almost got the my plow rig all done but I want to protect it as much as I can from salt, what's my best bet. I've been thinking about getting under it and wire wheeling the underside to clean it as much as I can then spraying it with POR-15 and then undercoat it really good. I've also heard of places the will oil the under side to protect it? This is going to be a plow truck that will be driven on the salty nasty roads. I'd like to keep it as nice as I can.

My best advise would be go to Walmart and pick up a couple of cans of roll-in bedliner. apply with rollers and a brush. Make sure you get the surfaces as clean as possible first. It'll last forever, and protect against almost anything. I used this on one of my Jeeps. It's a pain to apply, but the result is great.

a few guys over on tdr have used linseed oil and seem to like it.

I cleaned the hell out of it, rust treat it, then I tarred it; thats right TAR. she is goin good! not probs now
