I usually hate teaser titles like that.
I get sucked in all the time by
Something is going to hit the earth
today.. click here for what you need to know.
You'd think I would learn.
And here I've done it. But, this time it's worth it.
And this IS the Macho Power Wagon site.
I expected a weekend of sand, swimming, kayaking
campfires, pines etc.
The farthest thing from my mind was this post
you are about to read.
While I was unloading, I heard a serious big block
rumble, headers and duals. And maybe even detected
a bit of oversize tire noise, low speed tread thump.
So it's near the Rubicon trail at Lake Tahoe Calif and
Jeeps and other 4xs are out and about.
Then as I was unloading the Kayak off the roof
of my Camper, I caught a glimse of it coming up from
the beach. I nearly fell off my camper, as a Yellow and
Black 77 Power Wagon rumbled thru the campground
and then it was gone!!!!
What? Hey!! wait up.
When the rest of my crew came up from the beach
they asked if I had seen the Big yellow dodge.
Seen it?? and heard it, and couldn't believe it!
We went and tracked it down a short distance
into the campground.
Are you ready for this??
Dad owned it and passed it down to son who
then sold it to younger brother. It's a family heirloom.
What is it?
1977 Yellow 440 Macho with Skylight and air.
Been repainted, and slightly restified but very solid
running driving D code shortbed MACHO. Ultra cool
period correct Warn 8000# winch and bumper.
Original rollbar was in backyard and might have got
tossed this past summer. OOPS!
Pictures as soon as I get my stuff unloaded.
The owner plans to continue working on his
Rare MACHO, and hopefully will join the rest
of us freaks here shortly with more pictures.
