Here's some pictures of a macho that I might be getting, it's been repainted once and needs some metal work but is a stick truck and original yellow macho shortbed. I found it right in my own state.

I'm with ya, I've been looking for a yellow short bed stick for a while as well. The lady that owns it is very attached to it and doesnt really want to part with it but the frame is rusting out on it and she can no longer get it inspected so she's been thinking about getting rid of it. When she does I'll be right there. It's about two hours north of me and my aunt found it for me. She told me my old yellow truck was up there, so I told her to snap some pictures of it and this is what she sent me. She thought it was my yellow ramcharger that I did up like a macho powerwagon(lol).

That one looks to be in great shape.
Funny story, Yesterday my wife and I were looking for an address in a part of town we were not familiar with. I drove past a church, and saw a yellow and black Dodge on a trailer being pulled by a Chevy that had broken down. I went over to see the truck as it looked like a Macho from a distance. When i got up close I could tell it had been repainted. instead of the normal '77-'78 macho stripes, there was a single 1" wide stripe painted above the black. I asked the driver if it was a Macho, and he didn't know what I was talking about. I asked if it had a roll bar at one time, and he said no, but told me it was a 1980. It did have the 1979-80 round headlight grille (spray painted flat black). It also had a yellow hood. I asked if he minded if I looked in the bed. He was occupied with getting the Chevy back on the road, and said he didn't care if I looked the Dodge over. I climbed up on the trailer, and sure enough the bolt holes for the roll bar were there. The body had a few dents, and there were 3" round holes cut out just in front of the real wheels, but the truck looked restorable. He said it had a 360 engine, and called it a "racing motor". He said he was selling it for $800. I didn't have a camera with me or I would have gotten a couple of photos. He didn't seem very willing to give me a phone number either, so I felt a little uneasy about it. This was however, my first accidental encounter with a real Macho.
