Good Topic!

I've (HAD) 3 79s

One from Calif 360 4bbl (wagons painted white)

One from Idaho 318 (yellow bed on top)

and one from right here also 360 4bbl (restored)

the 77 or 8 (not Mine) in the snow was for sale in Oregon a while back

Silver was a popular color.

In my opinion, there are more than 50 left. They may be in barns, or they may be rust buckets, but whatever they are, it is in a number greater than 50. The citron green, and the white are a lot more rare then a silver truck. As far as they go, I had one, and sold it to a guy who had another, so that makes two to add.

thinking that the rare colors are as follows...
1977=cashmere tan
1978=med tan metalic or citron green, probably about the same for rarity
1979=citron green
1980=impact blue
1981=any color other than cashmere tan(4 of the 5 trucks found have been cashmere tan)
but this is me talking...
:lol:

I've had two 78 silver machos. One 400 big block sunroof short bed and the other was a 318 truck and basic. I would say there were a lot of them made.

I would say RED for all years except 81...where cashmere seems to be king..

ok thats 9 so far, and they actually did make a blue on in 1980? and all the ones ive ever seen on thiis site are red yellow or green not saying its bad but ive only seen mine and last 440s silver trucks on here. oh make that 10. there was a silver long bed for sale not too long ago 78 with amber turn signals. then theres two on rcc so that makes 12. still a long way off from 50 tho.
