I've loved Dodge trucks since I was 5 yrs. old in '76 when my dad bought his first Dodge D100 Adventurer. Over the yrs. have been many more Dodges and even today we are still driving them. When I was 18 the 76 D100 was signed over to me and was my first vehicle. Because I was like my dad's shadow, I learned about doing maintenance and repairs on the family vehicles (Dodge pickup, 72 Dodge Dart, & 79 IH Scout II-replaced the Dart). We had a 79 Dodge D100 (white w/orange stripe) dad bought used in '84/'85. It was a 318/4spd Custom stripped down model. He was considering his next new truck being a stick so he bought this 79 D100 as way of saving the 76 for me and he'd have something to trade in on a new one in a yr. or two later. He hated that 2wd stick shift due to in being virtually useless in south Dakota winters. He traded it in 86 on a new Power Ram 150 Royal SE w/ auto. trans./ 318. His current truck is an 02 CTD 4x4. Maybe someday I'll have pics of the White 79 and his 86 but I don't currently have any. I'm 41 now and have owned 6 Dodge trucks. I still own two, my 75 Power Wagon and my 08 3/4ton CTD 4x4.
