Here's the Ramcharger after getting it outside in the sun. Doesn't look half bad but this color is pretty forgiving in showing flaws much to my delight. ;)

Also, discovered whoever painted the roll bar black didn't prep it very well because wherever there was tape from masking it came off and showed the original tan underneath.

Loaded back up and headed back home to get put back together. It was a long day. :P

Very nice, the top and wheels look great. That sanding method works on urethane as well. This is what our palm sander looks like and then you just stick the velcrow 1500 pads to it. Then just stick the the velcrow 3000 pads to it. After you get done doing the whole car with 3000 your ready to buff with a heavy cut compound then fine and then your done. My brother cuda was done this way and his car was painted in urethane.

Took my newly painted wheels and got a set of 31"s mounted up that I had off a Wide Track Cherokee I sold last year. I like the look a lot better than the white.

Also, pulled the masking off the top.

Just noticed the reflection in the door on the 2nd pic above. It's my old Ramcharger, fitting I guess. :)

I have an appointment in the morning to get the decals put on so I thought some before shots would be good. Over the weekend I got it wetsanded and buffed. Also, tire carrier is on, grill is in, and the interior is back together. Still have some things to do and cleaning once everything is done.

I found a factory '79 brushguard that needs to be painted up and installed. I also left the turn signals from the '78 on for now. It is going to take some wiring to get the '79 signals working right. Factory 1980's Rams head hood ornament, I just had to have that. ;)

I think the tire carrier turned out alright in Sable brown. I am going to paint the roll bar the original tan when the new brush guard gets done.

One small spot came through on the tailgate taking out a run. I am going to see if the rear decal covers it, otherwise it will have to be touched up.

Original Goodyear Tracker from my '79 for the spare.

I will post more pics tomorrow with decals installed.

Stripes and original style Ram decals are back on.

It was like going back in time 20 years watching these go on. :)

Ram head turned out pretty good considering what we had to work with.
