I had the hardest time finding a 77' Macho truck. The 79's seem to be the easiest to find.Which Machos have been the hardest for you to find or have seen the least of other than the 81's?

80s are very scarce.
Bad year for Dodge in general.

Then you have the rarest colors. 8-)

I would have to agree with last440, besides the 81 macho being the unicorn...the following would be the rarest to find IMO....

1980 any color....

1979 in citron green seems to be the toughest to find

and 1977 in Russett Red Sunfire Metalic

Any long bed macho.....

As far as the toughest colors to find in a macho, I would say Impact Blue on an 80, Citron Green on a 78 and 79, and Russett Red Sunfire on a 77.

Any big block is going to be a little tougher, and finding a factory 78 and newer 4 bbl 318-360 will also be tough.

The easiest to find will be a small block red, orange, or yellow 78, or a red or orange 79 in a small block.

It also seems that A/C wasn't really common on macho's unless it was a loaded one, the same goes for tilt steering coloum.

The manual transmission trucks are not as common either, I think I have only seen a hand full of them, and the rarest manual truck would be a 400 4spd truck...

so lets see pictures of your truck....what color is it? I have seen orange, blue, silver and heard of a red one, and that is it. I have pictures of a blue one in a JY that is now in dodge truck heaven in the sky....

Tilt wheel was new in 78 so, no 77 will have tilt. I think, well, next to or maybe even surpassing an 81 is an impact blue 1980. Back in the day when I searched for the customer who bought my 79 orange Macho, there were no 1980 impact blue MACHOs in late fall 1979

Never ever saw or sold an 81 Mach. In rural MN 80-81 were farm crisis years. When farmers, many who drove Dodge, were not making $ no one else did
