With a heavy heart I'm listing my 1981 Macho Power Ram. As anyone familiar with these beasts knows they are pretty rare! This one I found just under 4 years ago in Wyoming. It had a new motor installed (less than 2k miles on it with paperwork) -- this was done before I bought it but it still looks very much new. When I purchased it I was told the transmission was rebuilt (no paperwork but it shifts well) as was the transfer case. When the new motor was installed the previous owners put an Edelbrock cam/intake/carburetor as well as Mopar Performance valve covers and air cleaner.
When I brought it to Colorado I installed a factory style exhaust system with a catalytic converter to pass emissions here. The carb was also jetted for our altitude (~5000 ft).
Like most of the others that have been found/rescued it was originally a black and cashmere truck (with cashmere interior), what makes it different is that it came factory equipped with power windows, locks, cruise control, and AC (working and blows cold), and AM/FM/Cassette with stereo speakers!
On top of that it was factory equipped with 31" tires, 3.23 gears, bucket seats and console! The only major non-factory add-on is the sunroof (which is older and was sealed shut prior to my ownership to prevent leakage).
There is no build sheet for this truck, however the under hood equipment labels are still present as is the core support.
The insides of the wagon wheels are indeed orange and if you look carefully on the inside edges of the doors you can see remnants of the original orange stripes!
This is a running, driving project although I've kept mileage as low as possible -- right around 98k original miles!
Besides the mechanical work, I've accumulated many parts; original sport mirrors, a complete set of center caps, a set of 1980 buckets (need to be recovered in the correct material/pattern), console (not the correct color), a NOS Chronometer, and as close as I could get to the factory AM/FM/Tape (a lookalike dealer optioned Audiovox unit that resembles the factory unit).
Within the past month it's received a new sender in the fuel tank and filler neck gasket (as well as new rubber lines under the bed) and a fresh oil change!
Lastly the front bumper was tweaked when I purchased it, however I do have a nice, used one suitable for repainting OR a NOS bumper that could be included in the deal if desired.
With that being said I'm asking $5500 or best offer -- located in Northern Colorado.
I'd consider a few Mopar trades -- a '93 5.9L Ramcharger or W150 LE short bed -- or perhaps a 2001 1500 sport offroad.
And for reference it originally had this paint scheme/colors:
