I'm pretty new to all this so please excuse my "newbness" about Dodge trucks... I've seen some 79's with two headlights and some with four of the rectangular jobs. Okay, it seems logical that they switched to the four headlights in mid 1979. But then I found a picture of an 80 Macho (or at least it was purported to be) with two round headlights! So I'm confused. Can someone clear this up for me? Thanks! :)

Starting in 79 quads were optional. Dual (round) were standard fare for a custom.
Machos, Warlocks, and True Spirits were available with either. Little Reds all got quads. :geek:

the quad lights were optional on all dodge trucks in 79-80, but were required on the Little Red, and were standard on any truck/ramcharger that had the "SE" package on it. ;)

Okay, I see. Thanks. Now if you guys will tell me about the turn signal lights on the front of the 77s and 78's. This Macho is identified as a 77 and it has white signals. Yet, I've seen some that were identified as 78s that had white too. Or did the 78s have amber only? Was this optional as well?

in 1977 the turn signal lamps were moved from the valence panel to the grille. The clear lamps were used on all 77 model trucks, and on 78 model trucks thru mid feb of 78. After mid feb of 78 they went to amber lamps in the grilles. For what ever reason, chrysler decided to go back to the valence panel with amber colored lamps in them. I am not sure if they went to this setup because of an excess of sheetmetal or merely because of the grille change. :ugeek:
