Post subject:  Bragging about a Brand new Beat up MACHO.
This was advertised as a Dodge Power Wagon.
Well.... it is that.
Also described as a small block truck with a 440
in it.
Turns out it's a D-code 440 truck with a 440 in it!
Another lucky find. It's a 77 and is in need of complete
restoration, but very rust free and original including
paint. Not sure why they cut the supports on the roll bar.
Also got 2 original black wagon wheels thrown in.
Not much in the way of options, mirrors, slider,
100 amp alt and?

Anyway, :P very glad to get it and thought others might
want to see my latest Project.

LAST440, that is such a cool find!

A 77 440! Wow! And as you say, it appears to be a very rust free truck. That's going to be one beautiful Macho when it's restored! I hope you'll keep us posted on your progress!

Exactly, except the convoy truck has a Skylight.
Just watched it. Convoy is a a lot like the peterbuilt version
of Vanishing Point. Strong Blood of the Lamb sacrifice story.
Like Braveheart, Gladiator, etc not as epic and obviously a lot
of 70s flavoring. Forgot how hot Ali Mcgraw was.

But I digress, there is a pretty good seen where a reporter is
trying to inerview The Duck from the back of a Yellow Macho
whilst rolling down the road. He also interviews 12 longhaired
friends of Jesus in a Chartreuse Microbus....
Well you know the song.
I sent to the Palomino Ranch and he will keep it going. :arrow:

I still haven't had time to watch it.....need to though, and then it gets out to the next person.
Just looking at the engine shot, looks like an original 100 amp truck with what looks to be a gm alt, and no voltage regulator on the firewall....

Just for fun I put a rattle canned set of aftermkt wheels on it
and a few better pieces inside. :geek:
