 Post subject: Macho or No Macho?

This truck was recently listed for sale near me. Paint is pretty cool. Is this truck a Macho or no? Is getting the paint codes from seller the only way to say for certain?

Doesn't look like it, in this era there was all kinds off people making a one off product passing them as factory special vehicles. You need to look for 1) flat black paint under the hood 2) factory build plates as shown in preceding article. 3) 77-81 production 4) properly placed holes in the box for roll bar 5) certain exterior colors for certain years 5) no body chrome 6)etc
