My new and first full project. My uncle was the second owner and it has been sitting in my Grandpa's barn for 20+ years. Just got to get 650ish miles from where it is in the picture to my house.

Got it home. The rain during the trip and unloading cleaned it up some but it still needs a good scrubbing. Doesn't run right now. Needs the wire harness repaired/replaced, a battery and tray, and I need to check the condition of the engine/transmission (it ran when it was parked in the barn). Found some new rust holes with some of the dirt gone but not near as bad as you'd expect knowing it was used to plow snow in the Mid-West for a time. Mice lived in the cab so it needs aired out and the driver's seat will need redone. I haven't thoroughly checked the other two seats. The carpet is trashed, needs a new driver's armrest, and the driver's window crank gear has stripped teeth. Its missing the middle roll bar light mount and something in the transfer case (was told a pin) is broke so its always in 4WD when not in neutral. Rear brake shoes were rusted to the drumb so had to brake those loose to get it to roll. Items on it that aren't factory that I know of are some welded brackets that were used to mount the snow plow, glass packs, rear bumper, and the sliding rear window (I have the original solid one though). If anyone knows places that do restoration work in GA let me know. Will need some seat, body, and paint work done. Overall its pretty solid thanks to being in a barn most of its life. Excited to get it running.

On the issue of 4WD in gear all the time except neutral................. Your truck has a NP 203 Transfer case which is set up by the factory for all wheel drive anytime your in High on your transfer case shifter. I would not take your project truck to any restorer. They would charge at least $100 per hour. As far as the wiring in the engine department go to Dodgeconnection.com ( http://www.dodgeconnection.com/catalog/ ... 399843.htm ) for your Restoration needs............
Looks like you have a great start on your truck.

Thanks!

There are 5 settings on the shifter for the transfer case including neutral. I haven't looked in detail but my understanding is that in any 2WD mode, it runs as 4WD. Haven't verified, that's just what I was told. I wasn't meaning to get someone to restore it for me. I'm not a fan of body work, paint, or rebuilding seats so I was looking for someone to do that. I need to get the frame and other components sand blasted/powder coated at some point and would prefer a more talented shop to fix the rust holes and get the whole thing repainted with the original colors.
