Has anyone ever converted a 79 to points? It seems literally every other time I go to start my Macho it won't start. I did Sam's trick last spring to get it going but now I'm w/ a non start condition again. Damn electrons |

if your going to do that, I would look into a pertronix kit...still electronic but simple. |

New distributors are pretty cheap. I think the last one I picked up at Advanced for a little over $50.00. I'd do that rather then put the pain in the butt points set up in it. Maybe a new ECU box would help as well. I cant imagine it could be to much causing you the problem. |

The only other no start issue I've had are with the ballast resistor going bad. |
