It's been a while, but looks like it will be here next week. I've already picked up almost every thing I'll need for it so I cant wait till it gets here so I can give it a quick going over to make look much better. I painted out a set of factory wagon wheels and applyed the yellow pin stripping on them. I purchased new 31" bfg ko's for tires, I plain on adding a small lift and 33"s later on down the road. Found a mint set of fenders, grill, new front bumper, front valance, non step rear bumper, nice tailgate, passenger door. I also found another factory sunroof for parts if needed. I figure it will be nice to have for a spare. I also picked up another set of factory bucket seats that I can use to make one decent set and not have to recover the seats. I'll post some pics after I get it all detailed up. This truck is my dream truck beside the fact that it's a long bed but I'm thinking the long bed will quite handy so I making my self like it(lol).

The original owner said it runs and drives like it did when it was brand new. This will be my first 4 speed truck, cant wait to drive it. Ordered a new carpet for it this morning as well. My parts truck has the factory cb radio in it that I'll probably install in this truck.

Wow, I checked out this truck last year with my dad. It's from West Haven,CT.
Very nice. I'm glad to see someone pick it up and restore it. The owner told me everyone in town knew who he was because only 2 guys in town had macho's and the other one was orange. He bought the truck at like 19 or 20, and he said the salesman told him he could pick up lots of chicks with this truck. :D Good luck, and where are you from?

Pick up date is tomorrow. It's to bad I wont see it for another week as I leave for Florida tomorrow(lol). We'll at least I'll have somthing to look forward to seeing when I get back home.
I've managed to get a bunch of the used parts all detailed up and painted and cleaned. I sandblast the chrome off of the front and rear non step bumper and primed and painted trim black. The grill came out real nice by taking some really fine steel wool and compound to it. I then repainted the black areas. Painted the lower grill support out in trim black. The wheels are painted satin black with new 31" bfg rubber ko's. I also picked up a couple of new front fenders that I'll install when I get back. I plain on repainting the whole out side of the truck and tape off all the jambs and leave them in the factory paint. New carpet should be here soon as well. Cant wait to start making this truck look alittle better.

What's the correct color 1978 yellow name. I think I remember it being called bright yellow? We ended up getting the wrong color for our plow truck.
