Hey gang quick question I’m looking for a good bed to replace the short bed on my 79 macho and was wondering what was the last year of that style of bed? I’m trying to find the newest least rusted one I can find. Thanks Chris |

Long or short? '80 was last year and probably the best rust proofed. Real nice bed's have become very hard to find even here on the left coast. Easier to evaluate from pics if you know it's original paint. Floors are a concern to, as they are hard to make perfect. |

Always a good idea to make sure there is no dirt or debris in the wedge between the inner fender and the wheel lip. If you remove your tail lights you can pressure wash the area. Best to do on a nice hot dry day. Probably goes w/o saying but it's a good idea to make sure your beds are draining. Rattle can areas where the paint has worn off. |
