My truck is being worked on, and the mechanics are focusing on the carb right now. They say it's not the original carb for the truck because it has some sort of sticker on the side, and they said that stickers didn't come from factory on those old carbs. I just want to verify with you guys if that's true, because these mechanics are chevy guys and you all know alot about dodges ( maybe you can check your carb on your truck if it's original, or you may already know the answer to that). It's a holley 2bb carb on a 360. I will be getting a new carb because that one has been rebuilt too many times, and it's getting crappy. I just want to know what you guys recommend as for 4bb carbs in both holley and edelbrock. The mechanics stated edelbrock, but I want holley, since that was what came with the truck. I just want to know your recommendations on holley vs. edelbrock, and their pros and cons. Thanks! |

So, if your going from a 2V Holley to a aftermarket four barrel. I would use Eldelbrock for all the parts: intake, carb, air filter. Cheapest way out is to go back to a rebuilt 2V Holley. Ebay has them on "buy it now" or auction all of the time. You should be able to find a NOS for under $300. Rebuilt for $80. Used for $40. Here's a link to Ebay for a new one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Holley-2 ... 3c9cce5c9f or auction # 260328807583 Here's a page of parts on Ebay: http://motors.shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw ... m270.l1313 |
