It may not make a good daily driver for a 16 yr old, But it might make a great father/ son project and then a family heirloom when done. Sheetmetal is certainly a lot easier to come by out west but you might consider buying a whole parts truck. Alway makes a resto easier. A lot of the parts are avail Wireing harness' Cab Main, engine, and front light. Interiors are much simpler than cars and the lil red vendors sell a lot of soft stuff, cut and sewn seat covers, etc. Engine parts are still cheap and avail as are the drivetrain stuff. Not as easy as a chebbie or phord to get repro stuff for but, there is no such thing as a Macho Silverado, or a Warlock Ranger. It's very feasable and when you get done you'll have something most people have never even seen. Plus It's YOUR truck. OK, how bad's the rust/damage?? |

Definitley keep the truck. Your are totally right about the father son project. My dad and I, which I'm 16, and this is my first vehicle have made my truck into a project. It is costly, but the results are amazing, with no one else having the same truck on the road. There will alway be people restoring chevys and fords, I know plenty, but there are few in the country restoring macho's. Keep it for your son, and that is one of my favorite colors on your macho. That candy apple red really sticks out. I saw this truck on another forum, and he said he was gonna change it and paint it like an idiot, and you said you would buy it back if he didn't screw it up altready. Nice ride. |

Thanks for the feedback guys I' just upset cause I can't help work on it but my mind knows alot of stuff on how to.....so I'll to be the voice. I know I'll need a Ft LH fender/LH cab corner/rocker and box side. for the RH side a rocker and patch panel for RH boxside above the wheel...and a front grill ,new front windshield and molding and maybe floor boards just to be safe. The 4 speed is getting overhauled next week but the 360 seems to run fine but should be updated....money,money,money and time.... but this picture I uploaded is what I will look like someday.
