i found one a guy on rcc (ramchargercentral) has crew cab and he has a ga tank that he got fromanother guy and the gas tank came from an actual macho and i was gonna try and see if hed sell the macho itself but i dont think he will im the only guy in my area with a macho and two is always better than one! :D but yes hes in pa i just haveto wait tosee how much shipping will cost and i too am sad about the build sheets my brother traded a 2wd truck and a mustang for a bronco 4x4 and we took it mudding yesterday and on the way back he got into his glove box and found the original dealer window paper ya know the one that tells you wats in it and the price the mpgs the options it has ( did you guy know ppl are paying extra for an automatic? 1000 bucks extra! but having a 351w smallblock upgrade is only 220 bucks extra) anyway is the build sheet just stuck under the seat or is it inside the seat i didt actually take the seat out i just felt around up there and no paper

Question: is it inside the seat i didt actually take the seat out i just felt around up there and no paper.....

When the truck is being assembled, sometimes the Build Sheet is stuffed into the bottom of the seat cushion coil springs and hard frame of the seat cushion. Otherwise, under the carpet floor insulation filler touching the painted sheet metal that is below the seat mounting area.

No you do not disassemble to seat cushion. Just think of working at a factory assembling a truck in the 70's.......... Down the line comes the seat assembly on the over head rail delivery system. The last thing to install on your truck is to bolt in the seat assembly onto the floor. The Build Sheet is in one hand of the assembler or attached to the seat to be installed. Then the seat is guided on to the mounting points on the floor. The Build Sheet is left sitting under bottom of seat, where the springs come in contact to the seat frame. Then the seat is bolted to the floor......Or the seat installer on the line takes up the carpet at the end of the inner cab back and slips the Build Sheet under the carpet assembly next to the sheet metal of the floor (either side of the truck) and then seat is bolted to the floor.......... That's why the Build Sheets are so fragile and don't last on trucks. Paper with any mosture and movement with decompose with in a short period of time.
Building/assembling a sedan is different. Build Sheets are placed under the back seat/carpet. The back seat may never be used. So the Build Sheet stays in better condtion for a longer time. As long as mosture & movement not present.

Your truck is not a clone...... Dodge trucks are not in demand like the 60's & 70's muscle cars. People don't paint them up for resale. Just look at your paint....... I went back and looked at the original photo you uploaded. It's Not A Clone! Just restore it the way you want and enjoy it! Documentation is a bitch with a Dodge trucks in the 70's. The Chrysler Library had a fire in the mid-seventys? and burnt up the records of truck option statistics and builds. So there is no way of confirming built option units.

Nice pics and the flag is very smoking too! The bottom picture reminds me of a 78 M880 I stumbled across recently in the next county over. I saw it on the highway while passing by. After the first of the year, I gotta get down there and see if I can purchase it! :)
