I would love to come up with some really cool "I found this in a barn" story and it's super rare...but the reality isn't quite so dramatic. How about a "found in my backyard" story instead..
I have had this truck for a while now but as yet hadn't been able to post any pics...It is a standard '76 Powerwagon and was originally a 2-tone blue & white when I bought it. 318/727 NP203 and worn out bench seat to boot.I have since switched to bucket interior,Tuff Wheel II,some minor engine spruce up's and of course the hybrid '77-'79 Macho paint scheme.No...it's not original or even a good ripoff but trust me...it looks a LOT better than what I started with..
The roll bar and push bar are a junkyard find from a mid 70's Ford and I have swapped out the '76 grill for the '77-'78 style. All of the lettering and hood callout was stenciled out and rattle canned using my high tech masking tape approach...All of the black was sprayed in Satin but appears gloss in the pics.(rainy day

).
Just thought I would share for anyone who may have wondered what an almost Petty Blue Macho would look like.My ideal for the truck was a lot less "what if" and more so "why not"...
