Getting the tires mounted this weekend and should have the new carpet installed this weekend as well. This should make the truck look alot better. I'm going to need a mild lift kit to fit the 33" goodyears on it. Any good tips on a 4" lift would be great. I want one that has the rear shims for the right pinion angle. I went with the dura trac tires as they were a little cheaper then the MT/R's. I liked the tread pattern a little better as well.

I almost went with the 31's but I knew I wouldnt of been happy with them. I had 33's on this macho ramcharger and loved the looks of it. These goodyears should look better then the bfgs I had on this truck. I love that the goodyears have the outlined letters like the originals ones had.

The original tires wont hold air so I had tubes put into them and they hold air fine now. Just wouldnt dare to drive any where long distance with them. I plain on taking the lift back out of it before I take it to Carlisle next year for the show and put the original tires back on it. It didnt take me very long to install the lift in the garage with my macho and it was only a day job so it shouldnt be to hard taking one back off. The truck will stay all original except for the rubber on the wheels and the 4 inch lift which I would still consider a survivor. The paint is all original, interior, the orig motor will be back in it, orig decals. I just had another set of original wagon wheels blasted and painted white and I'm trying to get a decal shop to make me a set of top hand decals for the wheels like my original set. I'll put the 33's on these rims.

Probably the best original survivor

Top Hand is getting a 4 inch lift?

I like the New Goodyear Wranglers also

do they make 32s?

then you could save the blocks for

a "project"

What size tire would be most closest to the factory size, 31" or 32"?

31's would be closer, but 32's will fit with no rub on a stock 4x truck....had on my old macho, now Jeff's (citron 79) with no clearance problems...
32's would = 11x15 in old school sizing....33's would be 12x15.....
use to have 12x15's on my ramcharger back in high school...armstrong tru track...heck of a good tire out in the sand.....which reminds me...dunlop dune traction was another good tire all around....but BFG's were the one everyone ended up with.....
why not a set of BFG all-terrains....tread pattern is virtually the same as the old school ones, and look good on a vintage truck!!!

Tried getting the ebay seller to send me 31's instead but he already sent the tires out. I might use these 33's on my blue macho ramcharger and order another set of 31's up for the top hand. You guys got me doubting my self now(lol). My orange prospector drove so nice with the 31's on it so I'm thinking you guys are probably right. And it didnt look that bad with the 31's on it. I think this warlock has 31's on it as well but with the old mt/r's.
