ROD HALL (1937-2019)
"To be a desert racer takes two things,'' he once said. "You've got to be tough and dumb; either order's okay.''

There is only one ROD HALL.
He has been racing OFF-ROAD since the sport was organized.
He has participated in every BAJA 1000 and claimed his
17th victory in 2002. He remains the only driver to win
BAJA overall in a Four Wheel Drive vehicle. To date he
has over 150 major event wins.

ROD HALL is a partner in the first stand alone HUMMER
dealership, located in Reno, Nevada. He is also owner
of TEAM HUMMER and remains the Leader of the Pack!

When I spoke with Mr HALL in 2006 he said of his years
with DODGE TRUCKS, "they were very good to us". In fact
ROD HALL RACING was very good for Dodge Trucks. The 4X4
mags of the 70s and 80s were full his achievements and
product endorsements. BF GOODRICH, PENNZOIL, DIRECT
CONNECTION, HOOKER, HELLA, and of course DODGE and
others all wanted their names on ROD HALL's trucks.

In the early 80s ROD HALL won 35 consecutive events.
By far the longest unbroken chain of victorys in the history
of OFF-ROAD Racing!

To satisfy the demands of his loyal fans, ROD HALL has
produced a wide range of ROD HALL endorsed products,
and even complete vehicles. The ROD HALL signature edition
and earlier, THE FORCE trucks paid tribute to his racing
and pre-runner trucks of the 70s and 80s.

In 2006 my son and I had the pleasure of meeting Mr HALL
at his HUMMER dealership in Reno, Nevada. He took the time
to sign my 1990 signature edition, and allow us a picture.

I can tell you that he still regards his fans with a humble
kindness, but has the eyes of a gunslinger when you
mention the word RACING!

This is the Mopar Collector's Guide truck from
March of '98. It still has less than a thousand miles
on it, and is living a very pampered life in a garage
so clean I had to remove my shoes to enter.

Luckily it was clean sock day!

Interesting detail stenciled on the rear spring
and the window sticker states ship to Shelby
Motors in Whittier Calif.

That's really cool that you got a picture taken with him in front of your truck.

My recent buy, it is on the list of the above trucks. Mine is a 318 2bbl CA truck, I think that makes 2 total California trucks to this point. Total production for the trucks is 16 IIRC...
I think the 2 CA emissions trucks are probably each one of one trucks...I would also bet money that there is probably a white 87 CA emissions RH out there...
I was lucky enough to find the build sheet for my black truck...
