i can not find a good dodge near me. so on my ventures hunting hundreds of
miles looking for Dodges. i found a FORD. it is a 1979 Ford F-150 with a 400-M
i did not buy it yet. it looks to be in great shape as far as the frame, axels, CAB
front clip. the BED is the worst i have seen yet. there is only a third of the bed
floor still there. the back 2 thirds is missing. there is probably 1 foot of the floor
that goes along the sides and 6 inches across the back tailgate section. the
tailgate is not installed. probably cant hold the weight of it. when i first saw it it
was dark out. i noticed a nice new black plastic bed liner. i was like nice but then i
asked the guy for a flash light and it took him a long time to find it. i then looked
over the truck and noticed the underside of the bed looked exactly like the top???
it hit me there is a huge hole in the bed floor. i think a BED will be easy to get. i
dont thiknk anyone makes replacement floors though. i only found a long bed floor
on line. runs good starts right up. holds a great idle. i need to take it for a spin
before i decide. needs new body mounts. he has a 3 inch body lift on it. i would
put it back to stock. he is asking $2500. i think he would take 1700 for it though.
NOTE: both sides of the bed are fine look great. just the floor is rotted. weird.
We will see.
i know it is a SIN. i think it is bang for the buck best value around
