Here's a couple of pics of my 01 which I really shouldn't have sold. I bought it new in Lakeview, OR, and painted the super bee style stripe myself shortly after. The stripe was done in Dupont Chromallusion, and it changed about 8 different colors. This one had the HO Cummins 6 speed combo, and probably spent more of it's 125,000 miles in my ownership hooked to a trailer than not. I like my 06, but I absolutely loved this one. Sometimes we do things that we sorely regret later.....like selling this truck.

Nice truck JC. I had a 2005 hemi Ram 4x4 and quality wise, I think the best truck I ever owned. Unlike you though, I'm glad I sold it, otherwise I'd have never got my 91. You're right though, the later model truck s are really nice and that one in the picture looks terrific.

I saw one similar to that but it was yellow and had the stripe like that. Was there a truck similar to that that was put into production? Or is it just a custom type deal some owners do themselves :?:

Thanks, guys. At the time, I couldn't even buy the paint by the gallon, and it was around $225 for a pint. I probably only used 1/10th of the pint, though. At sunup or sundown, right as the sun hit the horizon, the stripe went totally gold. Pretty neat effect. Originally, I had it planned as a 1970 style Super Bee C stripe, but didn't have enough down time to make it happen. Considering the lines of the bed, the C stripe would've looked better. Oh well, maybe on the '06.
