This one's not the early removable top model, but cool nonetheless. It's an 88 Ramcharger that began life(as I've been told, but not fully verified) as a Sheriff's car for Mono county, California. After the Sheriff's dept was done with the car, it was sold or given to the Bridgeport fire dept, where it got painted red. Through the primer on the doors, you can still see "Bridgeport Fire Dept". Last440 has probably seen this car also. It has an injected 318, plenty of heavy duty components, and lots of cool add on's. The price was very reasonable, so now I have a winter driver, since I live above the snowline, and have a 2 wheel drive pickup. It only took a couple of hours to get some shine back into the paint.

Okay, I apparently lack the skills(or presence of mind) to properly attach a pic from a Mac computer, so for now, you are all going to have to picture it in your minds. Sorry.

JC, did you ever figure that out? I'd love to see it! Macs are so cool!

Okay, I think this should do it. Quite a difference between the day I bought it and the day I polished the paint.

Very nice JC! You might have seen elsewhere on the forum that I have a soft spot for black walls and dog dishes too! ;)

Nah, it was sitting by the road in Bridgeport for months before I finally stopped.

I'm beginning to think Reno is the Power Wagon capitol of the world. Maybe it's just me but it seems an inordinate number of the PWs I see on Craigslist and Ebay are in Reno!

Prior to Christmas, I'd put about 500 miles on the Ramcharger, and it was very well behaved, exhibiting no huge problems. All the same, I hesitated to take it on a long trip. Christmas weekend, however, the weather was bad, and I didn't really want to drive my 06 on the salted and sanded roads, so off I went in the Ramcharger to Lakeview, OR, just the dog and me. It's a 230 mile trip one way, and the truck was excellent, making the trip down and back without a single hiccup, and getting just over 13mpg. Not bad, considering much of the trip was in 4X, and this one doesn't have overdrive. If I had to make the trip often, I'd definitely add a ton of sound deadener, as the rubber mats have none, and I'd put in a functional stereo, because my singing gets really old after a while. Anyhow, I just thought I'd post an update.
