Nice find and good prices!!! Roll bar was option LP6 on trucks. I have yet to find the ramcharger option code and price. Photo below shows the early Plymouth TrailDuster with the 1/2 doors & roll bar. |

Thanks for the rollbar info and pic!. Do you know if the '80s RC rollbar is the same as the 70s style? I know the 80s type if a 3 pc. or something like that. Ya, the tailgate was shot/dented, missing the SE trim on it, and just had the brackets bolted on the truck for the spare.. The hatch for the top was good too it seems, I think I saw a small crack somewhere, I think those hinges were prone to break eh? -Jim |

81-93 Ramcharger Roll bar is a 5 piece bolt together unit. It will not fit the 74-80 RamCharger/TrailDuster. I can be altered by removing 3" inches from the bottom mounting foot area & rewelded back together. Also the Roll Bar side mounts at the upper inside quarter panel are not there on the later RB. They will have to be made up along with the upper inside quarter panel mounting area on the body structure. If you have a MIG these will be simple modifications. The later Roll bar is larger in diameter than the earler version. Photos are of my '74 TrailDuster with the above modifications preformed on the later RB. Hey thanks for that info, I have an 80s RC bar which I may mod up someday. Now I'm kicking myself for not getting a '77 macho TD that had a factory rollbar in it awhile back.. : ) Oh well, live and learn. Thanks! -jim |
