Post subject:  Macho Ramchargers & Traildusters
The Macho package was available on these trucks from 77-81,anyone know what all colors were offered for the different years ? Did the decals change throughout the production period ?
Also in a 77 print of the "Adult toys", the Macho's (Ramchargers)only had white wagon wheels,did this change in later years (chrome slots?)and did any Macho Ramcharger on Trailduster have black or yellow wagon wheels like the trucks ?

I can't say for all the years that the Macho's were available but do have some info on the 81's. I have seen the stripes from the 81's on what I believe was an '80 RC but not sure. And have actual seen what looked to be an '81 stripe on a '79 P'up on EBAY a couple years back. My father ordered mine new and said he coul've gotten 4 different colors for the middle section of the truck-yellow(mine and most popular), orange, blue(rarest) and red(he thinks). he thought the yellow looks the best so he ordered it. He can't remember if the stripe kit was a diffdernt color depending on the center color or not but he remembers there were differnt colors were available.
As as far as the wheels go, now I can't say for all years, Ibelieve they came the same color as the stripe. Mine were orange and I still have them. While they need to be blsted and coated they are still nmostly orange. my father thinks I'm crazy for keeping all my original stuff but my plans are to "restore" it someday soon and give it back to him. I don't know about the chrome slots tho. I've never personally seen chrome slots on a Macho unless they were owner added but I could be wrong. They're are a lot more knowledgeable people on this subject here than me but's thta's just my .02.

I think up until 81 you could get a macho rc in any color you wanted, thats what it shows in the brochures I have. the chrome slots were optional and the white wagons standard according to the same brochure. the only ones that did come with the orange wheels were 81 and maybe 80.
