I was checking prices on later model Ramchargers last night and in some of the pictures, it appeared that the top was all built in rather than the back portion being removable as in earlier models. Am I seeing that right? If in later versions, the back portion wasn't removable, what year did they change this?

all 1974-1980 ramchargers and traildusters had a removeable roof. in 1981 they became integral to the body.

I believe I'd prefer the removable top. Those things really look cool with the top off! :)

only the first half of 74....they leaked like mad, and they changed them to the truck style doors.....parts are HARD to come by for those early rigs....

haven't found a clear date on when they went to full doors.
ramchargers were introduced in late feb/early march of 74.
so they weren't produced very long. hence, they already had the FT NP203 setup.

My older bro has come across only ONE set of what he calls "Cut Doors" in a junkyard. Driver door was mangled while passenger door I believe he said was fine. Top was gone though. So yeah, they are RARE!!!
